Kiwi Country Construction are Licensed Building Practitioners and members of the NZ Certified Builders Association. We are an approved Licensed Building Practitioner for Clever Living Co.™ homes.
What's the build timeframe on a Clever Living Co™ home?
All our build plans have MBIE MultiProof approval which cuts down time you'll spend waiting on council consents. The timeframe of the build itself is dependant on our availability and supplier estimate times. Once you have an idea of which plan you want, contact us and we'll give you an estimate.
What consents do I need?
You'll need to apply for building consent with the local council. We can help point you in the right direction. The Western Bay of Plenty website has some helpful information.
All Clever Living Co. designs we build come with MBIE MultiProof approval which helps speed up the consenting process. MultiProof is confirmation from the MBIE that the plans and specifications comply with the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC).
Do these plans meet Healthy Homes standards?
Yes, Clever Living Co.™ homes meet the Government's new healthy homes standards (enforced May 12 2022) making them suitable for tenanting your property.
What's included/not included in each build plan?
When you build a healthy home with Clever Living Co., you get the complete package. From safety glass to smart lighting to heat pumps, you get an innovative range of materials and accessories at a fixed cost. Download the full list of inclusions here.
How is the fixed price cost calculated?
We price our build projects honestly and as accurately as possible based on current pricing from our suppliers. Please be aware that sometimes there are unforeseen cost changes from our supplier once the project is underway (usually because of inflation). When this happens, we try our best not to inflate prices. This is all outlined in the Certified Builders build contract we'll use. Feel free to ask us if you have more questions.
